10 Tips before you close a file for print

Before you close a file for print, make a check list. It will help you and your team to avoid mistakes and save time.

1. Check that the file you've worked on its CMYK and not RGB

2. Remove swatches unused from the file

3. Check that the colors choosen are cmyk unless you choose pantones for print

4.If you have pictures on the doc: Check that they are CMYK. If not- Go to your PS and convert to CMYK

5. If your doc its in AI- Don't forget to create outlines to the texts

6. If your doc its in AI- Don't forget to embedded pics or package the links needed

7. If your doc its in ID- Don't forget to package.

8. If your doc its in ID- Create outlines its not recommended to this kind of files

9. If you have a dieline. Don't forget to make it in a different in a different layer and overprint

10. Check your file in Acrobat. Use the PrintProduction window.
